  • Base Salary: $104,539 - $117,058 (p.a.)
  • Full time position, Continuous contract

About the role

 

Are you a motivated Dietitian who is passionate about culturally responsive care?

 

Join our team at a leading Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation in the heart of Central Australia!

 

As our dietitian, you will play a crucial role in improving the health and wellbeing of our community by developing and implementing innovative nutrition programs and services.

 

You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide culturally responsive clinical dietetics advice and support to our clients and help address the unique health challenges face by Aboriginal Community members in this setting.

The ideal candidate will be a person with:

  • Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD) with Dietitians Australia (DA) with currency of practice
  • Demonstrated ability to provide high quality Dietetic assessment and intervention for clients within the context of Primary Health Care in a professional and culturally responsive manner
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team with a sound understanding of chronic disease self-management for clients
  • Demonstrated high level of communication skills, including ability to maintain confidentiality and communicate in a cross-cultural context.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the health issues impacting the lives of Aboriginal people and a strong commitment to improving health outcomes
  • Current NT drivers’ licence and willingness and ability to travel to remote areas
