ABORIGINAL IDENTIFIED POSITION FULL TIME PERMANENT CONTRACT Join a progressive organization delivering community-led programs with the Northern Territory's largest Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service. $69,868 to $75,699 per annum Total Effective Package* $88,552 - $95,200 About the Role The Maintenance and Grounds Officer position plays a critical role in maintaining Congress facilities through carrying out a broad range of maintenance and grounds tasks to maintain Congress facilities in Alice Springs and remote communities to a high standard. What are we looking for? Someone to fit our team with the following requirements: - Practical experience and / or knowledge in building maintenance and grounds tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and work well with colleagues.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in a challenging environment.
- Knowledge of safe chemical use, tool use and safe work practices.
- Ability and willingness to be on-call including weekends as a part of a shared roster.
- Ability and willingness to travel to and work in remote Aboriginal communities, including overnight.
- Person of Aboriginal descent; that self identifies and is accepted as an Aboriginal person by the Aboriginal community.
- Current NT Drivers Licence.
