ABORIGINAL IDENTIFIED POSITION Full-time Position Join a progressive organisation delivering community-led programs with the Northern Territory's largest Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service. $76,147 to $84,727 per annum About the role The Aboriginal Care Management Worker provides service brokerage and individualized supports to clients and their families to increase their social and emotional wellbeing. The role will work with people in community and residential programs who may be experiencing difficulties with alcohol and other drugs (AOD), chronic disease, mental health illnesses, domestic and family violence, housing, and other health and social issues. What are we looking for? Someone to fit our team with the following requirements: - Is of Australian Aboriginal descent; identifies and is accepted as an Aboriginal person by the local Aboriginal community.
- Current (or within one unit of completion) Certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Drugs or other related field such as Mental Health, Aboriginal Health, Community Services, Allied Health Assistance, or Social Care.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the social and emotional wellbeing needs and issues of Aboriginal people.
- Proven experience in working with Aboriginal clients and their families and managing a caseload.
- Demonstrated ability in effectively communicate with service stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
- Current unrestricted NT Drivers Licence.
