Health Information and Data Analyst
Public Health - Alice Springs, NT

Full-time Continuous Contract 

37.5 hours per week 

 

$104,539 - $125,092 per annum (GOL8)

Total Effective Package*

$128,394 - $153,408

About the role

The Health Information and Data Analyst (HIDA) analyses, builds, and presents healthcare information to optimise service delivery and support Congress’ objectives by enabling data-driven decisions. They gather pertinent healthcare data, develop effective information systems and procedures, and supply decision makers and service providers with access to relevant and meaningful information. This position is a senior clinical data position at Congress and works in conjunction with the Health Information and Data Analytics Coordinator (HIDAC) and CQI, Health Information (HI) and Impact Manager.

 

Who are we looking for?

Someone to complement our dynamic team with the following essential requirements

  • Relevant degree or diploma, and/or at least two years of relevant experience in a field that supports data collection, management and reporting for CQI, evaluation, or program reporting purposes.
  • Ability to analyse, interpret and communicate health and administrative data, including being able to extract data from a clinical information system, and having a sound understanding of data quality and integrity issues.
  • A strong understanding of Primary Health Care clinical data and terminology.
  • Demonstrated intermediate level SQL experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with health industry standards, data governance and privacy principles.
  • Ability to work independently and manage and adapt to change with excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate verbally, written and by electronic means at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills.
