  • Base Salary: $121,719 - $128,641 (p.a.)
  • Full time position, 12 month Maximum Term contract

Join our team at a leading Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation in the heart of Central Australia!

 

The Senior Dietitian provides community-centred, culturally-responsive, safe, and high-quality dietetics services and health education for Congress clients. The Senior Dietitian takes a leadership role in the holistic, multidisciplinary and comprehensive care of clients, with a focus on optimising dietary intake and nutritional
plans.

The ideal candidate will be a person with:

 

  • Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD) with Dietitians Australia (DA) with currency of practice and extensive relevant clinical experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide high quality dietetic assessment and intervention for clients within the context of Primary Health Care in a professional and culturally responsive manner
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team with a sound understanding of chronic disease self-management for clients
  • Knowledge and experience in planning, implementing and evaluating service delivery and programs using the principles of community empowerment
  • Demonstrated high level of communication skills, including ability to maintain confidentiality and communicate in a cross-cultural context.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the health issues impacting the lives of Aboriginal people and a strong commitment to improving health outcomes
  • Current NT drivers’ licence and a willingness and ability to travel to remote areas
