Role Description The Redress Caseworker will be responsible for providing support to Redress Scheme applicants, conducting community outreach activities, promoting and raising awareness of the Redress Scheme. To be considered for this position, you will require: - Be of Aboriginal descent; identify as an Aboriginal person; and accepted as an Aboriginal person by the Aboriginal community.
- Minimal Certificate IV qualifications or proven experience in one or more of the following areas – family support, education or health and willingness to undertake further training.
- Demonstrated experience engaging with Aboriginal individuals, families and communities
- Demonstrated experience in working with individuals that have experienced complex trauma
- Thorough understanding of Stolen Generation history and the ongoing impacts of past removals
