  • Total Effective Package: $94,260 - $103,779 (p.a.)*

Role Description

The Aboriginal Family Support Worker will provide a liaison and support service to children and their families attending Head to Health Kids (H2HK). The position is responsible for cultural brokerage, liaison, advocacy and support for clients ensuring the responsibility of coordination and facilitation of child and families for appointments and follow-ups. The position works collaboratively with a Case Worker under a bi-cultural pair model.

 

To be considered for this position, you will require:

  • Identifies an Aboriginal person; recognised and accepted as an Aboriginal person by the Aboriginal community
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate sensitively in a cross-cultural environment
  • Proven experience in providing support to Aboriginal Children and families.
  • Current Drivers Licence.
