Role Description The Aboriginal Family Support Worker provides culturally safe and responsive support to children and families referred to Congress’ Family Support Services. The position works collaboratively with a Case Worker under a bi-cultural pair model. To be considered for this position, you will require: - Identifies an Aboriginal person; recognised and accepted as an Aboriginal person by the Aboriginal community
- Excellent communication skills including fluency in one or more local Aboriginal languages and the ability to communicate sensitively in a cross-cultural environment
- Proven experience in providing support to Aboriginal Children and families.
- Current Drivers Licence.
