We are looking for a Youth Worker to join our organisation.

Casual Contract


Starting Hourly Rate: $39.84 (exclusive of casual loading)

Base Salary (FTE): $77,688 p.a. (pro rata) 

 

About the role

The youth worker at headspace designs and delivers youth-friendly engagement and wellbeing activities from the Youth Hub and across Alice Springs (including schools and community settings). The role builds trusted relationships with young people (12–25), fosters participation and leadership (e.g. Youth Reference Group), and ensures safe, welcoming spaces grounded in culturally responsive, trauma-informed practice. The position also holds a small, non-clinical caseload focused on engagement, brief support and psychosocial needs— coordinating practical supports, linking to appropriate services, and escalating to clinicians when required. After-hours and outreach work will be required.
