Casual Contract 

Up to 37.5 hours per week 

 

$108,225 - $115,615 per annum pro rata

Total Effective Package*

$132,286 - $140,712 pro rata

 

About the role

The role of the Sexual Health Nurse – Enhanced Syphilis Response Program (ESRP) is to support the implementation of targeted screening of women/ men across Central Australian regions, including Congress town and remote clinics and selected NTG remote communities as required based on current notification data.
This is a service delivery position, with considerable time spent on clinical activities, both in the clinic and outreach. These activities include the undertaking of screening, prevention, treatment, education and monitoring of sexually transmissible infections (STI’s) in the Central Australian region with a particular focus on addressing the current syphilis outbreak.
These tasks are conducted autonomously with support and mentoring of the Sexual Health Coordinator as required to ensure best clinical practice and further enhance specialist skills and knowledge within the Sexual Health and Blood Borne Virus and Public Health Program context.
