Base Salary: $138,060 - $141,609 (p.a.)
Total Effective Package: $167,431 - $189,491 (p.a.)*

About the role

The Sexual Health Project Coordinator (Utopia, Kintore & Ampilatwatja) focuses on program support and review sexually transmitted infection and blood borne virus (STI/BBV) prevention and management programs at Kintore, Utopia and Ampilatwatja communities.   This position will sit within Congress, and will work collaboratively with each community using the continuous quality improvement cycle to review plan and implement STIBBV program initiatives.   The role provides support and mentoring to existing staff in communities and works collaboratively to provide education, mentoring, program review, support with clinical record systems and assistance with planning and rollout of community screening and education programs.

To be considered for this position, you will need to meet the following essential requirements:

• Registered Nurse or Aboriginal Health Practitioner with highly developed clinical skills, knowledge and experience, particularly in Aboriginal primary health care
• Team Leading or management experience in a health setting
• Knowledge and experience in organisational planning, reporting, evaluation and/or monitoring of health programs and services, including strong strategic and analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Experience of managing organisational change and using continuous quality improvement principles, project management methods, CQI tools and system change to implement best practice management for health care delivery
• Previous experience in using electronic patient information record systems, (particularly Communicare), data extraction and manipulation for the production of accurate reports.
• Proven, strong administrative, organisational and written communication skills, including meeting administration, development of policies & procedures and the ability to write clearly, simply and incorporate ideas from Aboriginal culture and politics
• Demonstrated recent clinical experience working in rural/remote health care setting with a particular focus on sexual health in remote communities
• Experience in developing and maintaining effective networks, alliances and relationships with families, individuals, communities and health sector organisations
• Willingness, ability and appropriate levels of health and fitness to travel to and work from remote locations.
