About the role The ICT Services environment provides infrastructure, devices and support for staff to perform their duties. ICT Services needs to provide these in a cost effective, secure and modern environment. This role is challenging and deals with a wide range of technologies. - Working with the system admin and helpdesk teams towards the provision of efficient customer service in a high-quality ICT environment
- Perform and record daily/weekly/monthly system admin activity checks
- Respond to warning and alerting systems and escalate if necessary
- Respond to any unexpected behaviour on the network and escalate if necessary
- Design develop deliver and maintain approved improvements to the network, computing and storage being used by Congress
- Design develop deliver and maintain approved improvements in the Congress AWS and Azure environments
- Assist with the retirement of infrastructure no longer required
- Provide detailed high level documentation for all aspects of system administration
- Assist the IT Team with project delivery, compliance , and reporting tasks
- Undertake other duties (and training) that are safe, legal, logical and responsible while being within the limits of employee’s skill, competence and training, consistent with the position classification.
