Base Salary: $53,859 - $57,330 (p.a.) pro rata

Total Effective Package: $70,308 - $74,214 (p.a.)* pro rata

Full-Time, Maximum Term Contract

About the role

 

The Early Childhood Worker delivers culturally appropriate quality early childhood education, health and development programs to children using children’s first language based on the Abecedarian Approach Australia (3a). The position focuses on the implementation of a culturally rich environment that includes the use of Aboriginal languages of children in the centre, games, activities and songs. The program is based on the Early Years Learning Framework and the Abecedarian Approach Australia (3a).

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to a learning environment to strengthen educator practice & continuous improvement to optimise children’s learning outcomes
  • Contribute to child records that document personal and social growth, development, cultural context, learning and interests of the child
  • Take part in the preparation and provision of children’s food as required

Skills and experience:

  • Holds minimum Cert III Qualifications in Child Services or relevant field as recognised by the ACECQA
  • Passion for early childhood education
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Current NT Working with Children's Card 
  • NT Drivers' licence or ability to obtain one
