About the role

 

We are looking for a General Practitioner to join our team at Ingkintja Male Health Service.

The General Practitioner provides high quality clinical and culturally safe care to the Ingkintja Male health service and works within a multidisciplinary team to optimise the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal males within a comprehensive primary health care (CPHC) setting.

 

Ingkintja: Wurra apa artwuka pmara is a male only, CPHC service that aims to improve the health outcomes of Aboriginal males of all ages. This includes providing chronic disease care, health checks, preventative health care, health promotion and routine general practice consultations. General Practitioners are involved in managing all aspects of male health including providing outreach and remote services through the Male Health Truck. Ingkintja is staffed with GPs, GP registrars, aboriginal health practitioners, aboriginal liaison officer, and client service officer.

 

Congress employs a large team of GP’s across our 13 clinics in the Central Australian region.  GPs function under a hybrid leadership structure whereby operational leadership is provided by the respective Clinic Manager and Clinical leadership by the Medical Director.
