About the team

Congress provides a comprehensive primary health care service to Aboriginal people in Alice Springs and nearby remote communities.  Congress employs more than 400 people; about half of whom are Aboriginal people. Further information is available at www.caac.org.au.

 

The position is based in the Congress Research Team which is in the Congress Public Health Division.  The Research Team conducts research and evaluation in partnership with other organisations to improve understanding of the health and well-being of Aboriginal people in central Australia and to support Congress service delivery. The Research team consists of the Research Manager, Senior Researchers, Research Coordinators, Project Coordinators, Research Assistants, Evaluation Officers and this position.  All positions in the Team depend on project funding so the size and nature of the team varies.

 

About the role
Support the establishment of a digital data base of written and audio-visual materials that are significant to the 50-year history of Congress. Ensure digital and other items in the Congress Historical Collection are catalogued and managed according to archival best practice. The role makes a substantial contribution to enabling the Congress community to access historical material that is relevant to their needs and interests.
