About the role

 

The Travel & Onboarding Officer plays a crucial role within the Human Resources team at Central Australian Aboriginal Congress (Congress). This position is responsible for managing the travel arrangements of Congress staff and facilitating the seamless onboarding of new employees. The incumbent will work closely with various departments to ensure that travel logistics are efficiently coordinated, and new employees are welcomed and integrated into the organisation effectively.

 

About you

 

As an experienced administration and customer service person you will be self-driven to positively influence the wellbeing and retention of new staff to Congress.

 

In addition to the above, you will demonstrate the following:

  • Proven experience in facilitating employee onboarding processes, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires and compliance with organizational policies.
  • Exceptional attention to detail in managing travel itineraries, expenses, and onboarding documentation to guarantee accuracy and compliance.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with travel agencies, internal stakeholders, and new employees during the onboarding process.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced HR environment.
  • Cultural sensitivity and an understanding of the unique needs of the Aboriginal community, aligning with the values and mission of Central Australian Aboriginal Congress.
  • Proven ability to identify challenges in travel coordination and onboarding processes and implement practical solutions to enhance efficiency.
  • A customer-focused mindset, ensuring that travel arrangements and onboarding experiences contribute positively to employee satisfaction and engagement.

It is highly desirable for you to have experience in coordinating domestic and international travel arrangements, including flights, accommodations, and ground transportation.
