About the role An exciting role, the Project Manager – Strategic, Major and New Projects, will provide high level project management support to Congress and will specifically project manage strategic, major and new projects at Congress, excluding capital works projects. This position will work alongside different divisions within Congress, providing excellent written communication, planning, and implementation support for Congress led projects that contribute to improved and expanded primary health care services for the Aboriginal communities serviced by Congress. This role is based in Alice Springs; candidates are expected to live in Alice Springs and work at our Alice Springs offices. To be considered for this position, you will require: - Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline with experience in a project management role.
- Experience in providing high level secretariat support, including excellent standard of minute-taking, maintaining action registers and implementation plans and preparation of agendas, including coordinating agenda papers.
- Demonstrated experience across a range of written communications, including preparing high level briefing papers, submissions, proposals, reports and correspondence.
- Experience planning and delivering internal and external meetings and/or engagement activities involving stakeholders such as the Commonwealth and NT elected representatives, government departments, community sector, and/or healthcare providers.
- Ability to quickly analyse, research and understand complex information from multiple sources and communicate this simply and effectively for others.
- High level of organisation, including proficiency in project planning and management techniques.
- Highly effective interpersonal skills including proficient written and oral communication which can be adapted to meet the needs of people from all educational levels.
- Demonstrated leadership skills including the ability to think critically and make recommendations through analysis and sound judgement, particularly in providing high-level advice.
- NT Drivers Licence or ability to obtain.
- Willingness, ability and appropriate levels of health and fitness to travel to and work from remote locations if required.
