Total Effective Package: $169,204 - $176,787 (p.a.) * Full Time, Continuous Contract About the role The Head to Health Kids (H2HK) Manager supports the Senior Manager in leading the operations of H2HK. This includes ensuring efficient and effective services are delivered to children under 12 with suspected or emerging mental illness or behavioural disorders including early assessment, therapy, management, and family support to limit the severity and progression of mental health challenges.
The role will build both town and remote capacity, coordinating the team and effectively collaborate across Congress and externally to ensure successful implementation of the program. This program will ensure all Aboriginal children aged 0- 12 and their families in Central Australia have access to evidence informed assessment and therapeutic services within a continuous quality systems enhancement framework. To be considered for this position, you will require: - Tertiary qualification in a health, education or social sciences field with eligibility of relevant Australian Association Membership or extensive experience in a relevant area of work demonstrating quality leadership and management, with a willingness to undertake further training in management if required.
- Demonstrated experience in management and supervising a multidisciplinary team including the ability to build and lead a professional work unit and effectively prioritise and delegate tasks.
- Relevant management experience in managing budgets and preparing reports for key stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in managing a team that provide support to vulnerable children and families and that is child focussed, family-centred and trauma-informed.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of child development, mental health as well as neurodevelopmental disorders including FASD, ADGD, ASD and global developmental delays.
- Experience in developing and maintaining effective networks, alliances, and relationships with families, individuals, communities, and health sector organisations
- Awareness of and sensitivity to Aboriginal culture, and history and knowledge of factors influencing the health and lives of Aboriginal children and families in Central Australia.
- Willingness, ability and appropriate levels of health and fitness to travel to and work from remote locations when required.
