About the role The Speech Pathologist is responsible for providing support to Aboriginal children aged 0-12 and their families to optimise their child’s mental health. The position works within a multidisciplinary team to support children with suspected or emerging mental illness or behavioural disorders including early assessment, therapy, management and family support to limit the severity and progression of mental health challenges. The role will work in town and visit remote communities. This program will ensure all Aboriginal children aged 0-12 and their families in Central Australia have access to evidence informed assessment and therapeutic services within a continuous quality systems enhancement framework. What we’re looking for: - A Speech Pathologist with a Bachelor of Speech pathology or equivalent qualification who is eligible for membership of Speech Pathology Australia,
- A practitioner who can build strong, trusting relationships with clients and the community.
