Senior Manager, Social and Emotional Wellbeing
Mental Health/SEWB - Alice Springs

Join a dynamic, multidisciplinary group focused on delivering culturally responsive, trauma-informed care to Aboriginal communities

Base Salary: $159,471 - $170,625 (p.a.)

 

Full Time, Maximum Term for 12 Months

  • Lead, oversee, and drive the operations, growth, and development of the SEWB team in Alice Springs, and across seven remote communities.

  • This role requires a highly motivated and capable leader, committed to delivering integrated, holistic health care to improve outcomes for Aboriginal people, their families, and the community.

  • Located in the Health Services Division (HSD), the Senior Manager for SEWB is a member of the HSD leadership group and plays a critical role in supporting the HSD General Manager, working collaboratively with a Senior Management team in meeting the objectives of the Congress strategic plan and priorities.

About the role

As Senior Manager, SEWB you will manage programs designed to improve the social and emotional well being of Aboriginal people and families in Central Australia, ensuring they = have access to evidence informed assessment and therapeutic services within a continuous quality systems enhancement framework.

This role is based in Alice Springs, Central Australia.

To be considered for this position, you will require:

  • Registration with AHPRA as a psychologist with clinical endorsement and significant relevant clinical experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and developing operational systems in a health service or community services. Skilled in resource planning to maximise efficiency and meet funding and service deliverables.
  • Expertise in complex planning, service development, project management, and reporting, including the use of organisational and information management systems
  • Experience in implementing continuous quality improvement processes, data management, policy development, and risk management. Skilled in developing and overseeing quality systems to ensure service integrity and compliance with health standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment, delivering results on time. Understanding of the Australian health care system, particularly primary health and mental health sectors.
