The Dental Assistant provides high quality and efficient dental assistance in a supportive and cooperative manner, that contribute to improved oral health and wellbeing of all Congress clients.

The ideal candidate will be a person with:

• Certificate III in Dental Assisting and/or Cert IV in Dental Assisting.
• Well-developed time management skills and the ability to prioritise competing requirements and work effectively under pressure.
• Demonstrates an interest in Aboriginal health issues and provision of assistance and care to others in the community.
• Has effective communication and interpersonal skills, and is willing to discuss and demonstrate own knowledge and skills with work colleagues.
• Understands confidentiality in a health setting as well as cultural sensitivity within the Aboriginal community.
• Willingness, ability and appropriate levels of health and fitness to travel to and work in remote locations, including overnight travel
• Certificate IV in Sterilising (desirable)
• Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture of the Central Australian region.
• Mentoring experience. (desirable)
• Current HR class driver’s licence.
