Full time maximum contract 27/10/2026 About the role The Credentialled Diabetes Educator provides expert safe and effective clinical care and effective prevention and awareness education to clients and their families across all Congress clinics within the Congress Clinical Governance framework. Remote travel is an inherent requirement of the position. The ideal candidate will be:- - Registered as nurse with AHPRA with relevant clinical experience in chronic condition management and/or primary health care.
- Registered as a credentialled diabetes educator with the Australian Diabetes Educators Association.
- Demonstrated ability to lead the planning, implementation and evaluation of education programs, resource development and health promotion activities.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team with an expert understanding of chronic condition self-management for clients.
- Excellent communication skills, in particular the ability to communicate sensitively in a cross-cultural environment with Aboriginal clients and staff, and highly developed computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Awareness of and sensitivity to Aboriginal culture and history, and knowledge of current issues affecting the lives of Aboriginal people.
- Current NT Drivers Licence and the willingness, ability and appropriate levels of health and fitness to travel to and work from remote locations.
