What you’ll be doing: With supervision and support, you will: - Work alongside Aboriginal Health Workers, nurses, doctors and allied health staff
- Provide basic health information and support to clients
- Help with health promotion activities and community events
- Learn how clinics operate, including records, follow-ups and recalls
- Attend training blocks and complete assessments toward your Certificate II
- Build practical skills, knowledge and workplace confidence
You’ll be supported by supervisors, educators and the Aboriginal Workforce team throughout your traineeship. Who can apply? - This is an Aboriginal identified position
- Be willing and able to complete the Certificate II in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care
- Have an interest in health, learning and supporting your community
- Be reliable, respectful and open to feedback and training
- Be comfortable using basic computer systems
