Role Description The Intake Officer is a key role in supporting Head to Health Kids (H2HK) to ensure that incoming referrals are actioned and wait listed according to priority, along with a focus on the developmental needs of referred children, maintenance of wait lists and allocation of client caseloads to the team. The Intake Officer is responsible for screening and following up with all new referrals to the service, conducting a brief assessment to clarify their support needs and make recommendations to the intake team, and support their initial engagement with the H2HK service. To be considered for this position, you will require: - Experience in working with developmentally vulnerable children and their families focussed on improving developmental outcomes of the child, including the use of developmental screening tools or experience in a similar field.
- Demonstrated ability to foster and maintain collaborative working partnerships with internal and external providers
- Broad experience in administrative work with a high level of organisational abilities and time management skills.
- Awareness of and sensitivity to Aboriginal culture, and history and knowledge of factors influencing the health and lives of Aboriginal children and families in Central Australia.
