• Base Salary: $127,803 - $141,843 (pro rata) (p.a.)
• Total Effective Package: $155,839 - $171,706 (pro rata) (p.a.)*
• Part-Time, Maximum Term Contract until 30 June 2029

About the role

The Midwife provides women centred, evidence-based, clinically and culturally responsive antenatal and postnatal midwifery care to Aboriginal women and women having an Aboriginal baby that live in, or are visiting Alice Springs, from a remote Central Australian community, or other location.

To be considered for this position, you will need to meet the following essential requirements:

• Registered Nurse or Midwife with current APHRA registration with relevant experience.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and effectively within a multi-disciplinary team to achieve Key Performance Indicators and apply the Australian College of Midwives National Midwifery Guidelines for Consultation and Referral to midwifery practice.
• Demonstrated experience working within an Aboriginal community-controlled comprehensive primary health care service.
• Knowledge of the social determinants of health and impacts on individuals, families and communities and provision of trauma informed care.
• Experience in service delivery within Comprehensive Primary Health Care service and provision of culturally responsive services to Aboriginal clients.
• Demonstrated ability to act as a clinical resource person and role model, including mentoring less experienced staff and students.
• Current NT Drivers Licence.
