Base Salary - $88,861 - $103,623 p.a.

Total Effective Package - $110,207 - $127,038 p.a.*

About the role

 

The Health Project Facilitator works as a part of a multidisciplinary team facilitating or supporting targeted, and locally adapted health projects alongside Congress’ Allied Health team. The culturally safe, holistic projects are individual or group-based and aim to empower communities/families to participate in healthy activities for improved health and wellbeing outcomes. Occasional remote travel and flexible work hours may be a requirement of the position.

 

  • Is of Aboriginal descent; identifies as an Aboriginal person; and is accepted as an Aboriginal person by the Aboriginal community.
  • Diploma in a Business/Community Service or relevant experience
  • Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team maintaining professionalism, confidentiality and discretion and manage time effectively
  • Proven experience or ability to provide training, mentoring, or support to others
  • Ability to orientate and provide advice on cross-cultural information to clinical and non-clinical staff, ensuring cultural safety
  • Excellent initiative, coordination and communication skills including the ability to communicate sensitively with a diverse range of people and within a cross cultural context
  • Willingness, ability and appropriate levels of health and fitness to travel to and work from remote locations.
  • (Desirable) Ability to speak one or more local Aboriginal languages
  • (Desirable) Demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal people in community and organisational settings
  • (Desirable) Previous registration with AHPRA as an Aboriginal Health Practitioner, or relevant experience in primary health care
  • (Desirable) Current NT Driver’s License
