  • Base Salary: $154,713 - $162,669 (p.a.)
  • Total Effective Package: $187,815 - $196,886 (p.a.)*

About the role

The Early Years Manager is a Senior Manager providing operational management and leadership to the Early Years Section of the Child Youth and Family Services Division. The Section Manager plays a critical role in supporting the General Manager and works collaboratively with a Senior Management Team and other Congress services and programs in providing operational management and leadership that contributes to Congress’ strategic plan and directions in the Early Years.

The person we require will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in leadership, management, early childhood or a relevant field.
  • Demonstrated significant experience in strategic management of a team that resulted in the effective delivery of services to the community, including the ability to implement operational plans, undertake financial management, analyse and address complex issues, and prepare timely correspondence and reports.
  • Demonstrated understanding and commitment to Aboriginal health, Aboriginal culture, and the philosophy and practice of Aboriginal Community Control.
  • A sound knowledge and understanding of early childhood and family support programs within a primary health care service delivery model and how they relate to health development.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining effective networks, alliances, and relationships with families, individuals, communities, and health and education sector organisations.
  • A Northern Territory Drivers Licence or ability to acquire.
