Base Salary: $$74,470 - $$82,855 (p.a.)

Total Effective Package: $82,855 - $102,934 (p.a.)*

Full Time, Max-Term Contract

Role Description

The Youth Worker provides advocacy, liaison, support and referral services to Aboriginal young people across all Youth and Family Services

 

To be considered for this position, you will require:

  • Identifies an Aboriginal person; recognised and accepted as an Aboriginal person by the Aboriginal community
  • Minimum Certificate III qualification, or studying towards, in Community Service, Youth Work, Social Work, Juvenile Justice or Welfare
  • Proven ability to engage and work with Aboriginal young people
  • Experience in and knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and harm minimisation strategies
  • Current NT Drivers Licence or the ability to obtain one
